The Problem

Have you ever had the excitement of going online shopping, adding a few of your favorite items to the cart, and then get distracted or maybe can’t fully decide, so you leave the items in your cart never to see or even think about them again?

If you are like most people, the answer is probably a resounding YES. People tend to do this often and for various reasons. Ranging from distractedness, not enough information available, not the right time or we simply are not convinced to complete checkout and buy the items in our cart.

Event and race registration is no stranger to cart abandonment. Except in the event's world, people are abandoning their spots at your event and all they need is a little nudge to get them on the starting line.

The Solution

The nudge to win back lost registrations can easily be created using the Abandoned Cart Email feature within ACTIVEWorks Endurance. This feature allows you to effortlessly create reminder emails that are automatically sent to participants that have visited your registration page but did not complete checkout.

Best of all, you can track the effectiveness of your emails using the Abandoned Cart Summary widget in the dashboard to know how the automated emails are performing. The dashboard breaks down the number of participants that abandoned, number of emails sent on your behalf, number of clicks, number of converted registrations, and lastly, how much lost revenue was recovered via the Abandoned Cart Emails.
