Roughly 15 percent of race registrants never even make it to the starting line because of unforeseen events, like a sprained ankle, says Allianz.Today, ACTIVE Network and Allianz Global Assistance announced that ACTIVE.com race registrants can purchase Race Registration Protector. During registration, participants will be provided with the option to purchase Registration Protector. With Registration Protector, a participant who misses an event for a covered reason such as an injury, illness, job loss, transportation delays, military/family/legal obligations, and more can get their registration fees reimbursed.This is the first insurance product of its kind to be offered to registrants in the endurance market.
